AJ DeSantis dominated the action at Riverhead Raceway this past weekend, securing a major victory in the Eagle Chevrolet 50 Crate Modified event. His performance not only put him in a strong position for the championship lead but also showcased his exceptional skill on the track. DeSantis successfully navigated the competition to become the sole champion of the NASCAR Local Racing Series powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts.
DeSantis pushed the limits during qualifying, setting a new Crate Modified track record with a blistering lap time of 12.207. This mark surpassed the previous record set by Dave Brigati back in 2019, demonstrating his speed and precision in the modified class.
Beyond the main event, the weekend featured several high-intensity features.
