Brandon Morris delivered a dominant performance at the 2026 UARA Sportsman event at the Mobile International Speedway, securing his second consecutive victory and moving up to third overall in the season standings. He battled fiercely with Dylan Bigley for the top spot during the Saturday race.
The competition was tight, especially as the race progressed. While Morris and Bigley engaged in intense side-by-side racing, both drivers noted issues with their equipment, particularly concerning restarts. Bigley mentioned that clutch slippage on the restarts proved to be a factor in the late stages of the contest.
Throughout the event, drama unfolded beyond the main battle. Incidents occurred when Sadie Parsons and Jimmy Frazier made contact in turn four, leading to a chain reaction involving Matthew Green and Cody Struble. Later, Rick Reed suffered a mechanical failure on lap 48, forcing him off the track.
Despite the setbacks, Morris managed to regain momentum. After another caution, he jumped out to the final restart ahead of Bigley, successfully navigating the field to take the win. Dodge Carlbert finished third, followed by Rice Robinson in fourth place, and Adam Briggs secured fifth spot after replacing his motor post-qualifying.
