After some time off due to weather and scheduling, the SK Modifieds(R) were finally able to hit the track. Keith Rocco took immediate control of the race over Anthony Flannery while Timmy Jordan, Jon Puleo, and Todd Owen all fought for third. Rocco kept just enough distance ahead of Flannery as Puleo moved his way into third by lap 10. Puleo tried an outside move for second that turned into a cross-over, and after two attempts he secured second. Around halfway Puleo made it look easy catching, getting underneath, and moving by Rocco for the lead. He went on to easily pick up the win after that move with Rocco and a patient and quiet Nickolas Hovey rounding out the podium.
It took a few tries to get the Late Model race in a groove and each time saw Shawn Gaedeke with the slight advantage. He would get ahead of Aaron Plemons and Diego Monahan and hold off numerous attacks as Ray Christian III worked the outside groove to his advantage to move forward. On lap 11 just as Plemons made a bottom shot move on Gaedeke, Christian would do the same and shuffle Plemons back to third. By halfway Christian went under and by Gadeke for the lead, just for the race to be slowed with 11 to go. The outcome would go unchanged as Christian picked up win number 5 of the season and with Monahan and Chris Buffone moving by Gaedeke for the podium.
Fresh off a heat race win, Jon Porter started off the Street Stock race strong over Bill Rheaume. The latter was met with immediate pressure when Jake Caprio tried a bottom shot move that was blocked by Al Stone III who made the same move at the same time. Stone slid himself into second while Rheaume got stuck on the outside groove. Stone caught Porter by lap 9 and the two rode side-by-side for a few laps until Stone was able to clear and build a large lead. The battle allowed Caprio and Chad Baxter to catch the duo, and while Baxter was able to move into second he would experience mechanical woes taking him out of the race early, giving Caprio the runner up position and Porter the final spot on the podium.
Jacob Coutu launched from the outside pole over Cameron Varricchio and Ryan Lineham in the Trucks. Lineham moved into second early as Coutu ran for cover well ahead of the field. The field would get strung out with much of the action happening for the final spot on the podium that saw Charles Beal and Mason Silva fight their way by Varricchio around halfway. Coutu's dominant win would be his second of the season.
Disaster hit on lap 1 turn 2 of the Mini Stocks when Erica Canfield went around in front of the whole field, collecting many heavy hitters in the division. When the field did get moving, it was David Lee at the point. His day would be cut short just four laps in as mechanical woes sent him backwards, giving the lead to Sam Mesick. In no time at all, Chris Garside caught his bumper and began his attack pulling away from Charles Canfield who was involved in the lap 1 melee. Nate Taylor and Andrew Krzeminski moved by Canfield putting them in perfect position for when the caution flew with 10 to go. Garside and Krzeminski kept plugging away at the back of Mesick but when it was all said and done, Garside couldn't get the little extra he needed to move into the lead giving Mesick his second win of the season.
John Dulac may have had the initial jump in the Crown Vics but it didn't take Jack Emerson more than a lap to leap frog into the lead and put a hurting on the field. Robert Jones and Jake Caprio settled into second and third where the two put on a fierce battle for much of the race that culminated in a caution with five laps to go, erasing the lead Emerson built. Bunching the field up again didn't hurt his progress, as he would go on to easily pick up the win.
Kyle Johnson picked up his first career win in the 75 Lap Compact Enduro all while holding off previous winner Jim Bavolacco.
On Thursday, Marc Shafer picked up his first Super X-Car win of the season while Christian Herman kept his X-Car streak going. Ryder Aguiar scored the Bandolero win this week and KJ Rocco continues the legacy picking up his first Legend Car win at the Speedbowl.
