The fearless teams of Thunder Road International Speedbowl are once again preparing for another hard-earned Thursday night of racing on the Barre highbanks with an annual twist on a long-time staple. Bergamot + Amor and Calkins Portable Toilets team up to present Ken Squier’s World Famous Port-a-Potty Grand Prix to thrill fans of all ages with only one team able to stand tall and earn the Golden Toilet Seat!

A longtime tradition of Thunder Road is back with the current point leaders hard at work on the fastest outhouses this side of the water treatment plant! Jason Corliss is back to represent the Maplefields/Irving Late Models while Brendan Moodie will represent the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers. Tyler Wheatley enters for the first time as a rk Miles Street Stock points leader and Taylor Sayers has been voted in to craft an entry for the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors!

Brandon Gray, Justin Prescott and the tied-for-fifth place drivers Marcel Gravel and Bobby Therrien remain in the hunt for both a classic Thursday night win at The Road and a chance to knock Corliss off the pedestal atop the Maplefields/Irving Late Model standings. Gravel and Therrien are still in the hunt for their first Thunder Road win of the season, as are Taylor Hoar, Stephen Marin, Darrell Morin and Stephen Donahue with the latter group all looking to turn around their up and down seasons.

Northfield’s Cooper French remains the most likely driver to push Brendan Moodie out of the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger limelight. French has shown tremendous speed this season and stands 45 points behind Moodie and 51 points ahead of Logan Powers in the standings. Powers’ season has also come to life in recent weeks with the Middlesex driver poised to go for win number one on Bergamot + Amor / Calkins Portable Toilets Night.

Hayden Bushey stands just six points behind Tyler Wheatley in the rk Miles Street Stock standings with the four-cylinders once again putting on a season-long barn burner for the title. Bushey is also the only driver among the top-seven looking for his first win of the season while top rookie Zachary Garvey and former champion Donat Premont are among the top ten still hunting for win number one.

While they don’t hunt points, the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors are ready to kick off a busy stretch of racing at Thunder Road. Following this Thursday’s 20-lap feature, several Road Warriors may try their luck in Sunday’s Bolduc Metal Recycling Enduro 200 with more ready to take on the NBT Bank Challenge next Thursday with 50 laps on the line!

Bergamot + Amor and Calkins Portable Toilets team up to present the World Famous Port-a-Potty Grand Prix on Thursday, July 30 at Thunder Road. The Maplefields/Irving Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors go to battle on the Barre Highbanks alongside the Ken Squier tradition with racing action set to start at 7:00pm.
