Riverhead Raceway is set to host an action-packed weekend featuring NASCAR Local Racing and the highly anticipated Day of Destruction events on Friday, July 31st, and Saturday, August 1st. The schedule promises a full slate of racing excitement for fans of Modifieds, Late Models, and Street Stocks.

The NASCAR Local Racing Series kicks off Friday with the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modifieds returning for a 50-lap feature event. The championship chase is heating up as Mark Stewart of Riverhead holds a two-point lead over Owen Grennan of Glen Cove, with a tight battle for third place among Matt Brode, Chris Young, and Chase Grennan in the standings.

Late Models also return Friday for a 25-lap feature. Veteran drivers like Dave Brigati are battling for championship positions, while other competitors navigate their own races. Street Stocks are also in action, with Brandon Hubbard and Jarrod Hayes vying for the lead, and Chris Lescenski lurking near the top of the standings.

Saturday brings the spectacle with the Day of Destruction. This event will feature unique attractions like the first-ever Trailer Race and Flag Pole race, alongside the return of One-on-One Spectator Drags in the quarter mile oval. The main event will be the School Bus Demolition Derby, where various vehicles will compete in an all-out war.
