Orchard Park, New York's Patrick Emerling is riding high on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The point leader is looking for his fourth win in a row next Wednesday at Thompson Speedway.

Along with extending his point lead, Emerling will be looking for his third consecutive win in the iconic Wednesday night NASCAR Modified showdown at Thompson Speedway after winning in 2024 and 2025.

With a much-needed weekend of rest and relaxation ahead following a three-weekend-in-a-row schedule, the stars of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour will return to action next Wednesday, August 5 for the iconic Midweek Wednesday show at Thompson Speedway! The Thompson 150 is special for more than one reason, with fans set to keep an eye on the Energizer #1 of Patrick Emerling as he goes for his fourth NWMT win in a row!

Emerling has set the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on it’s ear this season after gradually growing his open-wheeled strength since returning to full-time competition in 2024. Emerling partnered with USNE Power to bring the Energizer #1 car to the front, winning the last three NWMT events and is the early, odds-on favorite to do so again in one week’s time at the Big-T!

Emerling’s mastery at Thompson is not new news. He’s driven away with the two previous Wednesday specials, including last year’s fan-favorite moment of the season. Who can forget when the Orchard Park, New York driver Geoff Bodine’s ‘Big Red Machine’ throwback to victory lane last season and even had Bodine celebrating alongside in Thompson victory lane?

There is sure to be plenty of competition standing in the way. Defending champion and current second-ranked driver Austin Beers is looking for his first Thompson Speedway win and his first win of the NASCAR season. Stephen Kopcik and Jon McKennedy are always quick on the 5/8-mile and are sure to be hot-to-trot next week. Eric Goodale, Tyler Rypkema and Matt Hirschman are also among those looking to make up ground in the championship chase at Thompson.

The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to Thompson Speedway on Wednesday, August 5 for the Thompson 150 presented by FloSports.com. The August midweek showdown at the Big-T will also feature the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds, Late Models, SK Light Modifieds, Street Stocks and Crown Vics with a 6:00pm Post Time. Event schedule is online at www.thompsonspeedway.com/event-schedule.

Grandstands will open at 3:30pm with Adult General Admission set at $45, Kids 6-12 are $10 and Children five and under are free!

The North East Short Track Network (NESTN) will stream Wednesday Night Racing at Thompson Speedway all season long, visit www.nestn.tv for more info including Pay-Per-View pricing and ways to subscribe!
