SEAL Committee votes no changes to 2027 Pro Late Model engine regulations

Short Track Scene·

The Sealed Engine Alliance Leaders recently convened for their monthly meeting to finalize the rules and guidelines for the upcoming 2027 season. The primary focus of the session was clarifying existing rules, sharing new information gathered since previous discussions, and reviewing potential packages for the next year.

After thorough review and discussion of various options, the committee made a definitive decision: they voted to leave the existing 2026 engine packages unaltered for the 2027 season. This decision aims to provide stability while moving forward with future rule development.

Looking ahead, the 2027 rules will incorporate previously discussed elements, including the Box Stock Factory Sealed Ford M-6007-D347SR(7). Details regarding the national weight for this package are expected soon, following important dyno testing.

Committee members emphasized the importance of releasing these engine rules as quickly as possible. While the full United Late Model Rules Alliance rulebook is forthcoming later in the year, the SEAL leaders successfully prioritized making these critical engine decisions much sooner than the complete rulebook release.
