CLAREMONT, N.H. - A huge Noise R Us Fireworks display lit up the sky, and veteran hot shoe Guy Caron lit up the competition Friday on O’Reilly Auto Parts Night at Claremont Motorsports Park.
The second generation star romped to his second Outlaw Late Model victory of the summer, scoring Friday night’s $1,500 win aboard his own team car after topping the Mike Richardson Memorial several weeks ago behind the wheel of the potent Streeter Construction ride.
Super Street ace Chris Riendeau celebrated in Country Fuels Victory Lane too, winning his eighth of the season, and Chris Chambers continued his march toward a second track title by winning a close one in the Pure Stocks, his seventh 2026 feature win.
Steve Miller Jr. earned his third victory lap of the season. Friday’s win was his career first in the Crown Victorias to go along with two earlier Six Shooter scores, and Trevyr Young won for the second week in a row and track-high ninth of the year in the Ridge Runners.
Michael Yeaton won for the fifth time this summer in the Six Shooters while, in the same event, Meghan Bell took a big hit in her lead atop the points parade after mechanical failure dropped her to ninth on the night.
Caron and Robbie Streeter started up front in the 50-lap Asetex Tire and Auto Outlaw Late Model main event. Caron blasted to the lap one lead, bringing row two starter Cody Schoolcraft with him. In six previous 2026 Outlaw main events, there had been no two-time winners. Caron ended that streak with ease.
With Caron sailing off into the sunset to win his second race of the year, the large crowd had its sites focused on the all-out battle for second. Lap after lap, turn after turn, Robbie Streeter reached deep in the box for every tool in his possession to find a way past Schoolcraft for second. But the young Claremont speedster never wavered.
With Schoolcraft holding strong for second, and Streeter third under the checkers in third, steady Trevor Rocke came home fourth. Veteran star Russ Hersey, in his first CMP run of the summer, finished fifth Friday aboard the second Streeter Construction ride, a car that has made three stops in victory lane this season, piloted by three different drivers.
Chris Riendeau owns a Super Street championship at Monadnock Speedway but despite having won scores of feature wins over the years at CMP, has never won a championship here. The Green Mountain State star is fully focused on putting that troublesome statistic behind him, and his eighth win of the season Friday will go a long way toward that goal.
Joe Tetreault and Robert Hagar, both previous 2026 winners, sat on row one as the RE Hinkley Fuels Super Street feature went green Friday, Riendeau fired from Tetreault’s back bumper.
Immediately taking charge, Tetreault set a fast pace for the first ten laps, with the potent Frazer’s Place 4, locked in his shadow and ready to pounce, Riendeau made his big move low-lining along the backstretch to lead lap 11.
Hagar, coming off two wins in a row, got up to second on lap 18, but the fastest car on the track Friday belonged to Riendeau. With the division’s points leader taking the checkers a dozen lengths ahead of Hagar, Tetreault trophied third, Robbie Streeter was fourth, and CMP newcomer Anthony Hill finished fifth.
Carter Conroy, starting up front alongside Ben Smith, took the opening lead in the :LaValley Building Supply Pure Stock 25-lapper Friday. There was only one car in the 17-car field that could beat him, and that one sat in row two, with former champ Chris Chambers at the controls.
Chambers took the lead on lap five and never looked back. With only one caution slowing the event, Chambers and Conroy raced far ahead of the field, with Chambers prevailing to boost his championship points lead.
Newcomer Brayden Murphy, third on the track, came up light at the scales, moving Gage Dillingham up to the three hole, with Carlos Grenier, from scratch on the starting grid, impressing in fourth, and Jeremy Ruggeri fifth.
Steve Miller Jr. was one of four drivers doing double duty Friday at CMP. His father, Steve Sr., Robbie Streeter, and Carter Conroy, each also mounted a new ride twice. Only the younger Miller would stop in victory lane.
After finishing way out of the money in the Six Shooters, he was on fire in the Crown Victoria main event. Leading all the way, Miller Jr. beat his dad to the finish line by ten lengths to score his first career V8 victory. With Miller Sr. second, Sebastian Janowiec was third, Tyrese Mello fourth, and Nathan Kelly fifth.
Michael Yeaton and Michael Casey raced inches apart in Friday’s Six Shooter qualifier, with Yeaton taking the win. In the 25-lap feature, it was all Yeaton, as he took the lead on lap one and soared off to win by a country mile.
Heath Laware, stronger every week, impressed in second, with Casey, aboard a loaner - Steve Miller Sr. gave up his ride for this one - finishing third to gain in the points race. David Bell was fourth, and Josh Beliveau fifth.
In the JP’s Trucking Ridge Runners, it was all Trevyr Young. Taking the lead from Ethan Meyette on lap seven, the White River Junction speedster blasted off into another time zone to win his ninth 2026 main event with ease.
But while Meyette would surrender the top spot, he still had plenty in the tank, earning Friday’s runner-up hardware ahead of Nick Nahodl, who earlier had won his first heat race. Lane Lantas was fourth on the night, and Konner Janovsky dashed home fifth.
Ivan Adamiel of York, PA - a man from Matt Hirschman country - won Friday’s Spectator Drags, taking first place aboard a 36-year-old Audi of all things.
Claremont Motorsports Park returns to action next Friday, August 7, with a full card of NASCAR Local Racing Series action on LaValley’s Building Supply Night at New England’s fastest third-mile oval. Post time is 7 p.m. each Friday at CMP.
