Troy Talman Looks To Continue Stafford Hot Streak In NAPA SK 5K

RaceDayCT·

As the SK Modified® teams prepare for their biggest race of the season, Troy Talman and the #6 Casella Waste Systems team are aiming to maintain their winning momentum at Stafford Speedway. This Friday, August 7th, marks the NAPA SK 5k event where they hope to continue their strong run.

The team has demonstrated impressive recent form, recording back-to-back victories on July 10th and July 24th. These wins are part of a broader performance, including four top-5 and six top-10 finishes across the last seven races leading into this event. Talman feels confident about the car's handling and believes the shorter 5k format will allow him to focus on driving skill rather than just battling for position.

The catalyst for this recent success came after a previous incident where the team needed a new front clip. Instead of delaying repairs, they utilized a different vehicle, which has proven to be very successful in competition over the last two seasons. This decision has fueled their confidence as they look toward the upcoming race.

Beyond the on-track results, the NAPA SK 5k carries extra weight for Talman and his crew. Serving as the final event of the Sign Pro Triple Crown, a victory would secure them the coveted Mac Daddy JR Fastener Assortment. With Talman tied with Andrew Molleur for fourth place in the standings, winning this race represents a significant prize for the team.
