Matt Hirschman secured a significant victory at the Thompson Speedway, taking the win in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. He managed to hold off Austin Beers and Patrick Emerling to claim the checkered flag in the Thompson 150 event.
The race featured several dramatic moments. While Hirschman battled for the lead, mechanical trouble sidelined fan favorite Jon McKennedy early in the action. Hirschman eventually extended his lead over Beers through the opening circuits, demonstrating strong driving skill throughout the event.
The competition remained tight as other drivers fought for positions. Chase Dowling finished fourth, while Matt Swanson managed to climb back into fifth place following a pit-road gamble. The results showed a competitive field across the Modified division.
Beyond the Modified action, Thompson Speedway hosted various classes, including the Late Model and SK Light Modifieds, adding to the excitement of the event on August 5, 2026.
