Dylan Newsome set to make CARS Tour debut

Dylan Newsome is shifting his focus after the IHRA Stock Car Series concluded, as he prepares for his debut in the zMAX CARS Tour. This move marks a new chapter for the driver following his time in the late model racing circuit.

Newsome had previously been competing in the IHRA Stock Car Series Sportsman division, where he aimed to secure a championship. However, the series unexpectedly ended after just three races, which was a disappointing experience for him and his team.

Despite the series folding, Newsome remains focused on competition. For his first run in the CARS Tour at Hickory Motor Speedway, he is aiming simply to finish competitively, acknowledging that they are among many talented drivers in the field.

He hopes to achieve a top-three or top-five finish, viewing it as remarkable given the competitive nature of the tour. Newsome is also planning future races, including the ValleyStar Credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway in September and the Thanksgiving Classic in November.
