Jonathan “Jonboy” Brown managed to secure a victory in the 100 lap Modified feature at the Bowman Gray Stadium event. The race was defined by significant chaos, as leaders wrecked each other and penalties were issued throughout the final stages of the competition.
As the action intensified with ten laps remaining, Brown fought through the mayhem to find himself in the lead. He faced intense pressure from competitors, including Jordan Flemming, who pursued him aggressively in the closing moments of the race.
In a dramatic finish, as the leaders battled, Flemming nearly spun Brown just six laps from the finish line. Brown managed to hold his position, allowing Flemming to slide into the grass and hand second place to Tim Brown. Jonathan Brown claimed his first win of the 2026 season.
Brown reflected on the race, noting that changes were made to the car setup during practice sessions in an effort to improve performance. He acknowledged challenges with tire grip but remained focused on figuring out the necessary adjustments for future races.
