N. Woodstock, NH — It was a Saturday for the ages at White Mountain Motorsports Park as the teams, fans and officials beat out Mother Nature for a stellar night of racing action. The Pro Truck Challenge kicked off the twin bill with their second annual return to the North Woodstock, New Hampshire oval. Nate Smith took off with the early lead in the Northern 55 as Todd Taylor followed and Randy Burr made his way under Tyler Chapman for third. Smith led until lap 26 when things went amiss under the hood leaving Taylor to try and hold off point leader Burr. Randy Burr made the move under the #47 Taylor to lead lap 31 and march home to victory over Tyler Chapman and Todd Taylor in the caution-free event.
The Farmyard Store Flying Tigers took over next to wrap up the 2026 Central Asphalt Paving Triple Crown with the 100-lap, $2,000-to-win Tiger $2K Special. Track point leader Luke Peters lined up against Triple Crown point leader Brendan Moodie at the initial start with both the young-gun and the long time veteran running side-by-side throughout the first half of the extra distance event. Behind them, Stephen Donahue, Sam Caron and Cameron Ouellette ran hard inside the top five for a chance to shake it up at the front.
With forty laps remaining, Peters began to extend his lead all alone as Moodie and Donahue battled side-by-side for second. With only one caution slowing the field, Luke Peters took the green flag run to go lights out on the field for both the $2,000 win and the Central Asphalt Triple Crown Championship. Although tied at 200 points with second-place finisher Brendan Moodie, Peters’ two wins to Moodie’s none breaks the championship tie with Stephen Donahue coming home third across the stripe.
The Bar Harbor Strictly Minis were next on track with Brett ‘The Jet’ Rowell running away from polesitter Tyler Thompson at the start of their 25-lap feature. Nate ‘Tater’ Brien and Tyler Whittemore kept pace with Thompson as the three began to reel back in Rowell by the halfway point. From then on it was the Tyler Thompson show out front as Rowell backslid through the field with Thompson taking the win, Whittemore holding on for second and Brien just edging rookie Lucas Sidney at the line for third.
After several weeks off both the Caulder Construction Dwarf Cars and the WMMP Crown Vic divisions returned to White Mountain on Saturday. Jason Wyman looked to finally quell his mechanical demons in the Dwarf Cars, leading the majority of the way against point leader Ethan Tyrrell. Approaching turn three on the final lap, Tyrrell made contact with Wyman, sending the #88 spinning to the infield before taking the checkered flag. Race control regulated the #23 of Tyrrell to last car on the lead lap, giving the win to Dave Gyger with Chad Dufour and Dan Brofman rounding out the top three.
The always wild Crown Vics saw Mike Slingerland and Kevin Willey lead the field to green before the turn three calamity left fluid down on the high groove to call out the lap one caution. Slingerland engaged the Slingshot to the front while Frank Sweeney fought hard to enter the top three on the high groove. All eyes were on Todd Derrington, driving up through the field in his Crown Vic debut. By the end it was all Mike Slingerland to take the checkered flag with Derrington driving up to second and Oxford Plains Speedway regular Spencer Moore taking third.
The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models started as the fourth division of the night before being sent into the penalty box. Thomas Smithers VI and Mike ‘Beetle’ Bailey brought the field to green for their 50-lap main with Smithers leading the way early. Rookie Lukee Shannon battled with multi-time track champion Stacy Cahoon for third before breaking away for a solo run. The field drove hard around the White Mountain highbanks for every position until the lap 40 caution for McKenna Merchant’s spin to the bottom of turn two. Two more cautions followed, one for Colin Cornell’s single car spin mid-pack the second saw Smithers make contact and send Shannon around, collecting Landyn O’Donnell, Tanner Woodard and more in the melee. Officials sent the entire field into the pits to sit out the remainder of the evening in the penalty box. The field returned to the track following the Crown Vics with a single file restart. Quinny Welch and Beetle Bailey dipped and dived around the quarter mile through the final seven laps with Welch getting the win by the tape on his grill at the line ahead of Bailey with Cornell hanging on to take third.
White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in action next Saturday, August 15 with a six division Saturday Night showdown. The 1764 Sports Bar & Grill Late Models, Farmyard Store Flying Tigers, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Strictly Minis, Crown Vics and the NELCAR Legends and Bandoleros all return to White Mountain for a 6:00pm Post Time next Saturday, August 15.
