T.J. DeCaire secured a dominant victory at the wild and calamity-filled CARS Tour Pro Late Model race held at Hickory on August 8, 2026. Driving a tribute to Mike Garvey’s 2001 ASA car, DeCaire showcased exceptional skill to take the checkered flag in this challenging event.

This win marks an impressive run for DeCaire and the Low Country Motorsports team. This was their second outing together, following a strong performance where they had previously achieved a second-place finish at North Wilkesboro and even secured a pole position. The partnership continues to show promise on the track.

The race itself was defined by chaos, with numerous cautions leading to an extended enduro format that lasted an hour and fifty minutes over 100 laps. Early in the event, incidents caused significant disruption, including multiple multi-car pileups as drivers missed shifts, setting a difficult tone for the competition.

Despite the rough conditions, DeCaire managed to lead the field, demonstrating mastery over the track. Conner Jones finished second in the race, closely followed by Treyten Lapcevich, rounding out a competitive top three finish for the day.
