The Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division kicked off Thursday’s Vermont Tire & Service program. Makenzi Sicard showed the way early with Rian Thompson battling up the outside to lead the halfway point. Thompson came under heavy fire from Gracen Gorham by lucky lap thirteen as Madison Potter and Evan Folsom fought hard for third behind them. After the two swapped lanes, Gorham finally led lap 17 and ran away with the win over Rian Thompson in his first podium appearance and Maddy Potter rounded out the top three.

The rk Miles Street Stocks kept the four-cylinder action going Thursday night with third-generation racer Howard Stockwell and ‘Flyin’ Fred Fleury leading the charge. Stockwell quickly began to run away at the front as Jen Getty and Riley Morris battled for second. Morris worked his way to the top, leading lap 18 as he and Stockwell came across the line side-by-side. It was calamity road after that with a pair of late race wrecks culminating in a full track check after the blown motor of Derek Farnham dumped oil all over the frontstretch. In the final laps, Riley Morris and Howard Stockwell both slid into the infield, leaving Nate Brien and Hayden Bushey to duke it out to the end. Nate ‘Tater’ Brien took down the surprise win with Hayden Bushey taking home second and Tyler Whittemore nabbing third over rookie Zach Garvey at the line.

Jason Pelkey and Parker Gagne put up a battle for the ages in the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger feature. The two ran side-by-side through the first half of the event with Gagne running Eric Chase’s car this week with mechanical woes still under work from last time out. Logan Powers finally broke through to run the highside around Pelkey with twenty laps remaining, his eyes set on Gagne to go for win number one on the season. Powers took the lead on lap 35 with a mirror full of Eric ‘Mongo’ Messier but never faultered to take his first win of the season. Messier found himself on the podium for second time this week with Brendan Moodie rounding out the top three.

The Maplefields/Irving Late Models rounded out the evening with the Vermont Tire & Service 100 in Round #2 of the Squier Cup Triple Crown presented by Milton CAT. The event ran green-to-checkers without a single caution in less than 22 minutes. Jason Corliss took over the lead by lap ten and set sail out front leaving only Brandon Gray, Marcel Gravel and Kaiden Fisher to follow the crumbs. Gravel held tough throughout the first half as the pair battled through lap traffic but Fisher came through with a full head of steam. In the end, Jason Corliss dominated the 100 lap run with Brandon Gray taking second and Kaiden Fisher coming home third.

The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers finished with Logan Powers taking the lead in the 50 lap event, followed by Eric Messier and Brendan Moodie. The rk Miles Street Stocks concluded the night with Nate Brien taking the win, followed by Hayden Bushey and Tyler Whittemore.
