The race format has evolved over the years, with lap counts changing. It started at 151 laps in 2009, and in 2013, Johnny VanDoorn won the event when it was known as the "Battle at Berlin" over 251 laps. The race was later shortened to 150 laps in 2021, where Kyle Crump secured the win, and it has remained at 250 laps since 2022.
