CLAREMONT, NH - Add Hayden Scott to the list. Robbie Streeter and Trevor Jaques too. Now into the fifth month of the 2026 season, the first time winners just keep coming at Claremont Motorsports Park.
Scott, Streeter, and Jaques each earned his first victory lap of the season Friday, August 14, at the Thrasher Road speedplant. While both Streeter and Scott have been there before in previous summers, Jaques’ score in the fledgling Crown Vic division was the first of his career at CMP.
But while there was a trio of new faces in Country Fuels Victory Lane Friday, there were also some familiar checkered flag wavers. Trevyr Young roared to his track-high tenth 2026 victory, Chris Chambers made it eight on the summer in the Pure Stocks, and Mini Stock kingpin Kyle Templeton won for the fourth time.
Scott and previous winner Tyler Lescord sat on row one as the night’s Asetex Tire and Auto Outlaw Late Model main event went green. And while Scott had struggled earlier in both practice and his heat race - Lescord won the heat - he was on fire in the 35-lap feature.
Blasting off like a rocketship, he led by eight lengths before four laps were completed. Past champ Ben Poland, from row three, shot into third on lap five, then second, but Scott was already far ahead. Behind them, Trevor Rocke and Cody Schoolcraft raced under a blanket in their battle for third.
Schoolcraft got up for third on lap 18, but both Scott and Poland were almost out of sight. Poland would close the enormous gap between himself and Scott to finish 12 lengths back in second. With Schoolcraft third on the night, Robbie Streeter - the Canaan hot shoe doing double duty Friday - was fourth, and former MRS strongman Donnie Lashua fifth aboard the Streeter Construction team car.
While Streeter came up shy of a podium stop in the Outlaws, he earlier had nailed it in the Super Streets. Starting up front beside previous winner Joe Tetreault in the RE Hinkley Fuels Super Street main, he led all the way to notch his first win of the year, Friday’s win scored aboard the Robert Hagar backup car.
Tetreault held the number two spot early, then giving way to top points man Chris Riendeau, whose lap -17 wobble yielded the position to Hagar, on fire with wins in three of the last four events. But Riendeau, atop the points parade with eight wins already this summer, wasn’t done yet.
Charging back into second with four laps to go, Riendeau finished a half dozen lengths behind Streeter in second, with Tetreault, hung out to drive in the top lane early, rebounding for third. Erik Smith and David Thibodeau rounded out the top five.
Sean Lantas led the first two go-rounds of the Mini Stock feature, then giving way to high flying Kyle Templeton. But while Templeton would lead the last 22 laps, his Friday night victory was anything but a cakewalk. Slowed only by one caution, that when Lantas hurtled wildly into the turn one grass while Andrea St. Amour violently ricocheted off the outside wall on lap seven, Berlin, NH ace Nick Miller rode in Templeton’s shadow all the way to the checkers. Kodi Sabins, victorious a week ago, was third, with Lantas fourth, and St. Amour credited with fifth.
Ben Smith and Jordan Gonyea led the LaValley Building Supply Pure Stocks into battle Friday. Top points man Chris Chambers fired off from row three, while Carter Conroy, victorious seven days earlier, was further back, ninth on the starting grid.
Dakota Bushey, fresh off his first podium finish a week earlier, exploded from row two, taking the opening lap lead and setting a fast pace the next dozen laps, as Chambers and Gage Dillingham raced under a blanket for second behind him. But when a routine looper brought out the caution on lap 13, things changed quickly.
Bushey quietly exited the track, his hopes of win number one heading up pit hill with him, and moving Chambers to the top spot. While Dillingham blasted into the lead on the restart, Chambers responded quickly, taking the lead again on lap 15 and never looking back as he sped away to his eighth win of the season, moving one event closer to his second track title.
Previous winner Jeremy Ruggeri got up for second on lap 16, holding the number two spot until the checkers waved, Dillingham was third, Conroy fourth, and Parker Fowler raced home fifth.
Trevor Jaques, hauling south to CMP from Milton, VT, made easy work of winning his first career Crown Vic event at the fast third-mile Friday. Taking the lead from Steve Miller Sr. on lap five, he drove away from the rest of the field to win with ease.
Steve Miller Jr., coming off back-to-back Crown Vic wins, got up for second on lap seven but on this night, he was no match for the speedy Jaques. Sebastian Janowiec was third, Miller Sr.fourth, and Raven Streeter fifth in the cop car main event.
Trevyr Young won his tenth JP’s Trucking Ridge Runner feature of the summer in what appeared to be a nailbiter Friday, But when the dust had settled in post-race carburetor checks, the White River Junction hot shoe had won with ease.
Jacob Rheaume scored a career best runner-up finish, with multi-race winner Lane Lantas third. Sunshine towner Ethan Meyette was fourth in the Ridge Runners, and Konner Janovsky, who’d won a week earlier, raced home fifth.
In Friday’s show opener, Avery Bean, from nearby Cornish, survived five restarts to win the Senior Master Karting event. Ben Brown was close behind in second, and Nick LaDuke earned the third-place trophy.
Claremont Motorsports Park will remain silent next Friday, August 21, as the historic third-mile pauses for its annual Summer Break weekend. Racing will resume at CMP on Friday, August 28.
