The feature winners of the 59th consecutive season week eleven Old Timers with New England Auto Racers night sponsored by Sabil & Sons Inc. were Jason Gray in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; AJ Pushee in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, Keegan Tabor in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limiteds; the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were OFF, the High Country Dispensary Late Models were OFF; Tyler Fellows in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; and Riley Chaffee in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners. This was for visiting Sprint Cars of New England Tunk Berry (winged) and Floyd Billington (wingless).
In the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Jason Gray is steadily crawling his way back to the top of the points battle with his fourth win of the season. Gray held off your current points leader Max Dolliver for the win. Dolliver is trying to hang on to what can hopefully be his first championship after being recorded as the runner up to Gray for the past three years. Thomas Placey scored his first victory lane trophy of the season by coming home in third. Richie Simmons and Mike Ryan rounded out the top five.
AJ Pushee in his junior year scores his first win in the Wells River Chevrolet-part of the Auto Saver Group DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes and breaks into the top ten in the points standing all in one night. Pushee, starting from the third row, worked his way to the front, getting by the ageless wonder Bob Shepard to sail on for the win in the green-to-checkers event. Shepard would fall back to fourth seeing his podium finish go by the wayside late in the race after Earl Maxham and Michael Danforth worked their way by him finishing in second and third respectfully. Travis King, your current Rookie leader, completed the top five.
In the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modified Limiteds Keegan Tabor continues to put on strong performances with his third win of the season. Tabor beat our current points leader Bryan King who crossed the line in second with son Shawn King taking third. Lucas Balch last week’s feature winner comes home fourth with Jordan Robinson after scoring her first heat race win rounds out the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and will return to action on August 22nd.
The High-Country Dispensaries Late Models were off and will return to action on August 22nd.
Tyler Fellows becomes the fifth multi winner in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks as he grabs his second win of the season, the last one in May. The win puts him back on top of the leader board by 4 points over John Fields who finished one spot out of victory lane in fourth. Tim Tucker scored his eighth runner up trophy with Mike Mann completing the victory lane photo op. In the points battle the hardest hit of the trio who have been neck in neck for the past several weeks was Keith Mansur finishing sixth for the night, putting him out of the lead by seventeen points. Mike McClay completed the top five.
Riley Chaffee if not for a missed week would be looking to be the king in the Woodsville Power Equipment-Bobcat Ridge Runners after scoring his second win to date. Chaffee beat out Ryan Sayers at the line by a nose with Kevin LaForest in hot pursuit taking home third. Zach Audet finished in fourth with the rest of the finish under review at press time.
The Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) Tunk Berry vindicates his loss from May when he led all but the last couple circuits before spinning out, to lead the one he missed this time to score the win. Berry beat Floyd Billington with almost a two second lead. Caiden Herbert joined the pair in victory finishing third. Professor Chris Donnelly and Troy Comeau completed the top five. In the wingless class Floyd Billington beats out Donald Ottati with Nolan Keyser finishing third. Toby Stark and JP Vaillancourt completed the top five. SCoNE will return to the Ridge on 29th of August.
