The annual Baldwin, Evans & Jarzombek 77 event at Riverhead Raceway was forced to be rescheduled due to a sudden pop-up storm. Following qualifying for the second consecutive week, track management decided to postpone the race, moving the event to this Friday, August 21st, hoping the delay would allow for a better outcome.
In addition to the rescheduled race, the event will feature the Cromarty Wall of Champions inductions for Howie Brode and Danny Grennan. This Friday promises a packed schedule, featuring various classes including Late Models, Blunderbusts, Street Stocks, and the 8-Cylinders, each with specific lap counts for the feature competition.
The schedule also includes general admission gates opening at 6:30 PM with qualifying set for 7:30 PM. For Saturday night, the doubleheader will feature a School Bus Demolition Derby alongside the NASCAR Local racing Series, headlined by the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds.
Saturday’s action will feature the Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds in their 25-lap feature event, joined by other classes like the TK Figure Eights Super Pro Trucks and INEX Legend Race Cars. General admission for Saturday starts at 5:00 PM.
