When the gates reopen at Lee USA Speedway this Friday, history will hang in the air as the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) brings the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic back to New Hampshire’s Center of Speed.
The lightning fast NESS Big-Block Supermodifieds will light up the seacoast oval alongside the 350 Supermodifieds, the NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lights and the $750-to-Win Ridge Runner/Mad Bomber Shootout.
Defending series champion Jeffrey Battle is looking to pick up where he left off nearly one month ago when the NESS Supermodifieds invaded Lee USA during the PASS Friday Night Throwdown on July 24. Battle made his way under a back-tracking Dan Bowes to take the 50 lap victory then but the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic is a different beast. 75 laps are on the board this Friday with every competitor taking the last several weeks to update, clean-up and tighten down their rockets for a chance to win one of the biggest Supermodified events in the nation.
Dan Bowes is certainly looking for redemption this Friday while also in the hunt for his first Ollie Silva triumph alongside Battle, Derek Griffith, PJ Stergios and Matt Swanson. Ben Seitz will also be looking to grab the Midsummer Classic trophy for his checker-block-full mantle while Jon McKennedy will be in the mix for a record fifth Ollie Silva victory.
The Northeastern Midget Association also returns to Lee USA Speedway for the first time in 2026 with two divisions present on Friday. The 400-horsepower NEMA Midgets return to New Hampshire’s Center of Speed with Randy Cabral’s experience on the abrasive Lee asphalt set to face off with Brayden Egan’s insane speed for a chance to change the top of the point standings. The NEMA Lites also join the card with their Ford Focus production engines powering their lighter frames to lightning effect on track!
The 350 Supermodifieds are back in action on the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic card as well with Ben Tinker maintaining a slim five point lead ahead of Ben Seitz. Ryan Battle joins the two as a 350 Super winner at Lee this year with all three looking to become the first repeat winner of the season against James Witkum, John Leonard, Justin Harris and more!
The Ridge Runners will return Friday to defend their home turf from any invading Oxford Plains Speedway Mad Bombers or Star Speedway Slingshots! With $750 going to the winner this Friday, it’ll be a no-holds-barred thrilling end to the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic with Lee USA Speedway’s most competitive division going all out for the big crowd!
Lee USA Speedway is back in a super way this Friday, August 21 for the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic! The 75-lap Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic for the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) will rocket around New Hampshire’s Center of Speed alongside the 350 Supermodifieds, NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lites and a special Ridge Runner / Mad Bomber / Slingshot Shootout paying $750 to the winner!
