The Lee USA Speedway is gearing up for a major event this Friday night as it hosts the highly anticipated Ollie Silva Classic. This respected short track event brings together top-tier talent for a night of intense competition, drawing fans eager to witness some of the region's best drivers battle it out.

The main event is the 75-lap Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic for the New England Supermodified Series (NESS). In addition to the Supermodified action, the night will feature 350 Supermodifieds, NEMA Midgets, NEMA Lites, and a special Ridge Runner / Mad Bomber / Slingshot Shootout offering $750 to the winner. The field is stacked with drivers from across the Northeast vying for bragging rights.

Contenders for the victory include NESS points leader Jeffrey Battle, who enters the race with five season wins, and single-time champion Jon McKennedy. Other names looking to secure a spot in the victory lane include multi-time tour winners Dan Bowes and Matt Swanson, as well as Derek Griffith and Mike Mayberry.

A notable storyline this year involves several drivers making their first starts in the NESS. Legendary icon racer Russ Woods will be making his debut in the number 29 machine, while inaugural NESS champion Robbie Summers will return in the number 11, alongside Rich Eaton in the number 4 winged warrior. Vern Romanoski will also be competing with Dave Duggan in the number 51 car.
