Dunstable, Massachusetts saw Jeffrey Battle once again cement his dominance in the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) at the Ollie Silva Midsummer Classic held at Lee USA Speedway on August 21, 2026. Battle proved his class once more, taking the top spot early in the 75-lap feature and successfully defending his lead against intense pressure from Jonathan McKennedy.
This victory marks a significant milestone for Battle, as it is his fifth consecutive win and his sixth triumph of the season. Furthermore, he became the 14th driver to win the 24th edition of the Ollie Silva Classic, showcasing his sustained performance in the series.
The race featured a fierce battle, particularly between Battle and McKennedy. After battling through the field, Battle secured the lead just past the one-third mark. McKennedy challenged repeatedly, eventually taking the lead on lap 59, but Battle demonstrated superior pace, reclaiming the top spot and denying McKennedy a potential record-setting fifth win.
Other notable results included James Witkum capturing the 350 Supermodified portion of the program. The NESS circuit continues, with the series heading to Maine's Oxford Plains Speedway on Sunday, August 30.
