The ASA STARS National Tour is gearing up for the Michigan 300, taking place Wednesday night, August 26, 2026, at the progressive-banked 3/8-mile oval known as "The Big O" at Owosso Speedway in Ovid, Michigan. This midweek event promises a packed field featuring national stars, regional champions, and up-and-coming talent competing for the win.
A major storyline leading into the race involves Bubba Pollard, who is returning to the track after winning the Georgia Summer Nationals in Cordele. Pollard’s presence is significant as he was involved in a race in 2025 where a late-race incident removed Carson Brown from contention for victory, paving the way for Pollard to secure his third career ASA STARS Tour win.
Carson Brown is returning to Owosso seeking redemption for that previous season. He is fresh off a win in the CARS Tour West Series and is also the ASA STARS Tour’s most recent winner, having secured his fourth victory of the season at Newport Speedway in Tennessee.
Heading into the event, the points battle is tight. Carson Brown currently sits atop the standings with 130 points ahead of second-place Kyle Steckly. Brown has demonstrated strong dominance this season, securing four of the six races run, but Steckly remains a formidable competitor, holding onto his position with a win in June.
