Dylan Zampa returned to the competitive scene Saturday night, claiming victory in the JM Environmental Wild West Shootout 100 at All-American Speedway. The defending division champion demonstrated exceptional skill, leading the entire 100-lap feature from the pole position to secure the win in a thrilling contest.
Despite leading the field, Zampa had to fight off strong pressure from current championship leader Kenna Mitchell in the closing laps to hold onto the victory. This win marks a significant moment for Zampa, as it was his first Limited Late Model start in nearly nine months.
The victory also ended Mitchell’s perfect record at All-American Speedway for the 2026 season. Zampa expressed confidence in his performance, noting that he felt he maintained a strong lead throughout the race, driving consistently for the final 70 laps.
Zampa, a Napa native, has a deep connection to the track, having won multiple championships there. He emphasized the importance of the venue, stating that having a home-court advantage is crucial to his performance. The event showcased intense competition, with drivers like Tanner Huddleston finishing third and others battling for top spots.
