The SK Modifieds(R) bookended the night with 35-lap feature races to make up for a weather event earlier in the year. The first race saw Nickolas Hovey fire out of a canon on the initial start, building up a strong lead that would get erased by lap 3 for the lone caution of the race. The fields' second chance at the lead never came as Hovey once again fired off strong. He would get the jump over Anthony Flannery and the two would leave a hornets nest in their mirrors. Jon Puleo came from deep in the field once again and was in third prior to halfway. Hovey continued to dominate the event, winning his third of the season. Puleo was able to pick off Flannery for second, while Todd Owen nosed ahead to round out the podium at the finish.
When the SK Modifieds(R) returned under the lights, Timmy Jordan showed some muscle outside of Adam Gada but had Flannery hot on his tail. By lap 6 Flannery worked his magic by Jordan and took sole possession of the lead. Further back for third Puleo was once again working his way through traffic including Hovey who had won earlier, finding himself in a distant third by lap 11. He was able to reel in Jordan and move into second but with Flannery having a straightaway lead and no cautions to help close the gap, that's as far as he would make it. Flannery dominated the second race of the evening earning him his second win of the season.
Evan Bourgeois has only been back in action for a few weeks after taking some of the summer off to regroup with their SK Light program. It all culminated with a strong run out the gate as he took off over Leo Nunes on the start. They, along with Will Anderson, sped off from the field that ran clean and green over the course of their 25-lap feature. Milania Shilosky made up a lot of ground from the run and on her charge forward was able to slip by Anderson to land on the podium. The 2024 champion went on to easily win for the first time in almost exactly a year.
Jon Porter got out to the early lead in the Street Stocks over Greg Moran Jr. but couldn't keep a strong Chad Baxter at bay. Baxter would go around Porter within the first couple laps and never look back scoring his fifth win of the season. Al Stone III was able to move into second early and while Moran tried to wrestle third away from Porter, he ran out of time before succeeding.
Trouble for outside polesitter John Krzeminski on the start would stack up the Mini Stock field allowing Sean Olden to hold the lead over Tim Dorr. The two ran nose to tail for a few laps until Dorr dove underneath Olden, taking the lead on lap six. As soon as he got the lead, Olden tried to dive underneath and take it back but the two made contact relinquishing the front row to Bill Sylvia and Nate Taylor. Sylvia cleared at first but another caution gave Taylor a second chance. Sylvia stayed strong after a side by side battle and while Charles Canfield briefly moved into second, Chris Garside was working his way forward on his second start of the season. Garside held second just short of halfway and began chipping away at Sylvia's lead. With four to go Garside bested a side-by-side battle for the lead and looked to have it sealed until contact on the final lap from Sylvia allowed him to wrestle the race win back in what was almost a photo finish, scoring his second of the season.
Wade Oemcke held strong after an early attack by KJ Rocco when the Legend Cars got started. Unfortunately for him, PJ Evans dove into second and put immediate pressure on the top spot and taking it away with Dylan Freeman. Contact between Oemcke and TJ Sansoucy sent them both to the rear. On the restart, Freeman's car lost power sending him pit side as another caution flew. Rookie Joe Wilcox now found himself in a battle for the lead with Evans. While it didn't last long, he stayed strong holding off Ethan Avellar to earn his first career podium. Evans remained perfect in the Saturday Legend Cars earning three wins in as many starts.
Joseph Sinclair gave Jake Caprio a run for his money at the start of the Crown Vics having his strongest run to date and taking the lead. A couple early cautions kept breaking his momentum at the point and eventually Jack Emerson moved around Sinclair for second. A single-car caution with 5 to go and a lengthy cleanup for some fluid of another stacked the field up for a shootout that Emerson was able to stay strong for, winning his sixth race of the season over Sinclair and Gregg Prevost III who worked hard to earn his podium position.
For Thursday Night Thunder, Ryan Magliano picked up his second Super X-Car win of the season. Christian Herman found his way back to X-Car victory lane after a week away. Zachary Martinez and Ryder Aguiar also landed back in the Legend Car and Bandolero winners' circle.
