The Riverhead Raceway hosted its annual Newsday presents a Tribute to First Responders event on Saturday night, drawing a large and appreciative crowd for an exciting night of side-by-side racing. The event featured thrilling action and close finishes throughout the night, celebrating local heroes.
In the 15-lap TK Figure Eight feature, Allan Pedersen of Center Moriches secured a victory, marking his fourth win of 2026. Other notable performances included Tyler Farrell, who finished second, and Kim Hyde, who took third place.
The Street Stock competition also saw success, with Chris Lescenski of Riverhead earning his second Street Stock win of the year. Additionally, Anthony Marsh of Riverhead captured his first victory of 2026 in the INEX Legend Race Car feature, showcasing strong performance in the field.
The night also saw several other drivers achieve victories across various classes, including CJ Zukowski, who secured his first win of 2026, and Tyler Oxee, who was the only repeat winner of 2026 in the INEX Bandolero Outlaw ranks.
