This victory marks McKennedy’s sixth win in this crown jewel event, continuing a run of success that dates back to 2013.
McKennedy secured his win by taking the lead from hometown racer Dan Bowes on a lap 28 restart. The race was a competitive affair, with reigning Star Classic Champion Jeffrey Battle finishing in second place. McKennedy demonstrated his class, cruising to victory by a margin of over seven seconds.
The field saw several notable finishes. Jeffrey Battle took the runner-up spot, while P.J. Stergios managed to catch Dan Bowes for third place. Dan Bowes finished fourth, completing the top five. Sixteen cars were entered for the Star Classic, with fourteen participating in the main event.
