The victory came on Sunday, September 13, 2026, in the points-paying season finale. Weddell’s performance this year has been stellar, as he entered the race having recorded seven runner-up finishes and six third-place finishes. This win also places him in a tie for the most all-season long in Late Model Stock competition.
The race saw a close battle, particularly against Peyton Sellers. Weddell executed his strategy perfectly, pulling away from Sellers to take the checkered flag with a 2.5-second advantage. This victory was a testament to his focus and ability to control the pace of the race.
While Weddell secured the win, the top five finishers included Trevor Ward, who was crowned the 2026 track champion. The track remains busy, with the CARS Tour returning for its championship night on October 17, followed by The Krush 250 on November 14.
