Registration is officially open for the 24th Annual North-South Shootout, which will take place at Southern National Motorsports Park on November 6th and 7th. The Tour-Type Modifieds are set to headline the weekend, with a major 125-lap feature race scheduled for Saturday, November 7th. This premier event will feature a competitive starting field of 32 cars.
Race procedures for the Tour-Type Modifieds have been detailed, including the use of double-file "cone" restarts, controlled cautions, and free-pass car protocols. Teams are limited to two new tires during the race, with only one new tire permitted to be changed during any caution period. Furthermore, all teams must purchase a minimum of 20 gallons of Sunoco Racing Fuel from the track.
Beyond the Tour-Type Modifieds, registration is also available for the 602 Modifieds, as well as the weekly divisions—Legends, Chargers, and Any Cars—which will compete under their standard weekly rules. The complete weekend schedule, including Friday’s pit activities and Saturday’s practice and qualifying sessions, is available online for competitors to review.
