It all comes down to this. After nine races, thousands of laps and a season of battles across the Maritimes, the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour will crown its 2026 champion this Saturday at Scotia Speedworld at the Mr. Lube + Tires 200.
Twenty-one teams are currently slated to take the green flag for the final 200 laps of the season, with a championship, final positions in the standings and one last trip to Victory Lane all on the line. Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races will kick off the racing action at 4:00pm.
Ashton Tucker (Miramichi, NB) enters Saturday's finale with a 39-point advantage atop the standings and his sights set on a second consecutive Pro Stock Tour championship. Tucker controls his own destiny heading into the Mr. Lube + Tires 200; a finish of 14th or better will secure the 2026 title, regardless of what happens elsewhere in the field.
Behind Tucker, the battle for championship positions couldn't be much tighter. Rookie Owen Mahar (Hubley, NS) sits second with 1,764 points, followed by Austin MacDonald (Pictou, NS) with 1,746. Gage Gilby (Enfield, NS) is just three points behind MacDonald with 1,743, while Jordan Veinotte (Porter's Lake, NS) rounds out the top five with 1,742. Just 22 points separate second through fifth, setting the stage for plenty of movement in the standings during the final 200 laps of the year.
Mahar also enters the season finale on the verge of securing the Lucas Oil Rookie of the Year title. The rookie has put together an impressive first full season with the Tour, climbing all the way to second in the overall championship standings heading into the final event.
While the championship will command plenty of attention, there is still a race to win. With 20 teams expected, the Mr. Lube + Tires 200 offers one final opportunity for drivers to close the 2026 season with a victory at Scotia Speedworld. With championship contenders racing for points and the rest of the field racing with nothing to lose, the final 200 laps of the season could produce some of the most intense racing of the year.
Also on the racing card for Saturday are the Picott Care Maritime League of Legends who will run a 50-lap feature. The Tims Corner Motorsports Bandolero Road Trip will also be joining the Pro Stocks on Saturday afternoon.
