Seekonk Speedway has announced a change to the D. Anthony Venditti Championship Weekend, which has been postponed due to expected inclement weather. Track officials determined that the incoming coastal storm would negatively impact both competitors and fans, leading to the decision to move the entire event.
The championship action is now scheduled for Friday, October 2, and Saturday, October 3. Competition Director David Alburn expressed excitement, stating that the track looks forward to two beautiful fall evenings of championship racing under the lights.
On Friday, the night begins at 7 p.m. with Fast Friday championship racing, where six champions will be crowned. The featured divisions include the Bandolero Bandits and Outlaws, Sport 4s, Santos Recycling Pure Stocks, One Way Recycling Crown Vic Cruisers, and Nick’s Pit Stop Legends.
The conclusion of the NASCAR Saturday season will take place on October 3, starting at 6 p.m. All four NASCAR divisions will crown their champions during Bay Coast Bank night, with Pro Stocks, Late Models, Sportsman, and Sport Trucks competing for the titles.
