The highly anticipated ValleyStar Credit Union 300, the richest event in Late Model Stock Car racing, is set to take place at Martinsville Speedway. The prestigious event will feature a massive field of 90 drivers hailing from over eight states and three different countries, all vying for a spot in the 40-car main event. The winner will take home a $32,000 check, in addition to a Grandfather Clock.
The race format is complex, beginning with single-car qualifying on Friday, September 25, 2026. This leads to four 25-lap heat races on Saturday afternoon. The top 10 finishers from each heat will advance to the 200-lap feature event, which is split into three stages: 100 laps, 75 laps, and a final 25-lap sprint. Teams are limited to only four sets of tires for the entire weekend.
The entry list is stacked, featuring notable competitors such as two-time 2026 NASCAR Cup Series winner Corey Heim and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series competitor Carson Kvapil. Former champions like Landon Pembelton, Trevor Ward, and Jason York are also scheduled to compete, alongside stars like Jared Fryar and Stacy Puryear.
The event, which marks its 31st running, offers a substantial purse, with $125,095 in posted awards. The Virginia Triple Crown, determined by average finishes across three events, adds extra prestige to the weekend's action.
