Landon Huffman and Justin Carroll have mutually parted ways ahead of the ValleyStar 300 at Martinsville Speedway, ending their nearly two-season partnership in Late Model Stock competition. While the pairing showed promise during the 2025 CARS Tour season, the 2026 campaign did not yield the desired results, leading both parties to decide a change was necessary.
According to Huffman, the decision was driven by a desire to prevent the working relationship from negatively impacting the personal friendship he shares with the Carrolls. He stated that while there was business involved, the relationship was much deeper than just racing, and both felt they were not achieving their goals.
Justin Carroll echoed this sentiment, confirming that the results did not lie and that the team struggled to secure the necessary resources to compete at the high level of the series. He emphasized that the split was a business decision, and he and Huffman intend to maintain their friendship moving forward.
Carroll will continue his efforts at Martinsville with Conner Jones and Diego Mendeztorres. Meanwhile, Huffman will focus on his ride with Taylor Satterfield, while Carroll Speedshop continues its development program.
