Keith Rocco secured his fifth career SK Modified track championship at Stafford Speedway during Friday's 40-lap feature. Rocco clinched the title with an 11th-place finish, solidifying his dominance in the division.
Entering the night, Rocco held a commanding 76-point lead over second-place Todd Owen and a 90-point lead over third-place Jon Puleo. After the race, Rocco extended his lead to an insurmountable 94 points over Owen and Puleo, who are now tied for second in the standings.
This championship marked Rocco's first title driving for team owner Dan Avery. He has a unique history at Stafford, having won championships for three different teams: Jean-Guy and Brigitte Poulin (2008), John Rufrano (2010, 2017, 2020), and now Dan Avery.
Rocco has had a strong season, accumulating three wins and 10 top-five finishes in his 17 starts. The SK Modified division has one final points race remaining on October 2nd.
