Lee Pulliam is concluding his tenure in Late Model Stock racing as he prepares to transition to a full-time schedule in the NASCAR O’Riley Auto Parts Series, joining Peterson Racing in 2027. While his move represents a major career shift, the past 365 days have been marked by a remarkable series of events that have made his calendar year truly special.
The year featured several high points, including a runner-up finish at the Thanksgiving Classic held at Southern National Motorsports Park last November. In 2026, Pulliam secured a second place finish during the CARS Tour season opener at Southern National. He also achieved a top-five finish during an O’Riley Series debut with JR Motorsports at Martinsville, culminating in his first win in 2,387 days at South Boston Speedway.
The recent 4th place finish at Martinsville provided a strong conclusion to his bid in the Virginia Triple Crown. Pulliam expressed deep gratitude for the journey, noting that the past year has been incredibly rewarding. He is now focused on his first start with Peterson Racing on a 1.5-mile track in Las Vegas on October 3rd, looking ahead to the 2027 schedule.
