The inaugural CARS Tour event at Newport Speedway in Tennessee has undergone a schedule change. Originally planned as a two-day affair, the race has been condensed into a single-day show this Friday due to concerns over impending inclement weather. Consequently, there will be no test day for the series.
The action begins early, with the Crew Chief Meeting scheduled for 7:45 AM, followed by the Garage opening at 8:00 AM. Trackside parking will open at 10:00 AM, and grandstands will open at 12:00 PM, preceding practice which runs from 12:00 PM to 2:15 PM.
The afternoon transitions into evening events, starting with the Driver/Crew Chief/Spotter Meeting at 2:30 PM. Qualifying sessions are set for 6:10 PM for PLM and 6:30 PM for LMSC. Driver Introductions are scheduled for 7:30 PM, with Pre-Race Ceremonies starting at 7:50 PM.
The evening culminates with the main events. The LMSC Race will kick off at 8:00 PM, covering 125 laps, followed by the PLM Race at 9:30 PM, which will feature 100 laps.
