The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour returns home to Thunder Road International Speedbowl for one last showdown during the 2026 season. The leaves turning bright orange, red and yellow, and that cool breeze across the hills come together to mean just one thing: It’s Milk Bowl time. Yes, the Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America is this weekend at Thunder Road with two huge days of racing! Saturday, October 3 brings Booth Bros./Hood Milk Qualifying Day to set the field for Sunday’s 64th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank.
The Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour faithful will be in full effect this weekend at The Nation’s Site of Excitement. Although the Vermont Milk Bowl does not count toward the championship point tally, ‘100%er’ teams must attempt to qualify to keep their 100% status for the season. For the likes of championship chasers Gabe Brown, Kaiden Fisher and Jesse Switser, it’s not a question of if they can qualify, but rather if they can win!
Brown took his first Thunder Road victory back in May, winning ahead of a rare all-invader podium that featured Jake Johnson and Switser while the ACT point leader also battled back from mechanical issues to collect third in this month’s Labor Day Classic 200. Fisher, the 2024 King of the Road track champion is an immediate top candidate for the Milk Bowl win and looks to better himself from last year’s third-place run in the iconic autumnal showdown. Switser is also a top looker for the win during his best Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour season to date.
Speaking of best run to date, former Serie ACT Quebec champion Jonathan Bouvrette is enjoying his highest points run in the US-based Tour this season while still in the hunt for his first win of the year. Another team making the haul from Quebec will be the return of 2025 Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour champion Raphael Lessard and the Larue Motorsports team. A break in Lessard’s NASCAR Euro Series season allowed the band to get back together in an attempt to join Bouvrette and Remi Perreault in the battle to become a Canadian Milk Bowl champion in the likes of Jean-Paul Cabana, Randy MacDonald, Dave Whitlock and Patrick Laperle!
Wayne Helliwell, Jr. will make his return to Thunder Road this weekend behind the wheel of the #91CT Hartwell Motorsports entry while Cole Littlewood, Erick Sands, Aaron Fellows and top rookie Geoff Rollins are looking for strong Milk Bowl runs against the likes of former winners Jason Corliss, Bobby Therrien, Stephen Donahue, Chris Pelkey and two-time and defending champ Marcel Gravel.
