Winchester 400 Moves to Saturday Due to Weather

The 55th Winchester 400 Presented by Vore’s Welding & Steel has been rescheduled, moving from Sunday, October 11, to Saturday evening, October 10. This change was made by Winchester Speedway and ASA STARS National Tour officials due to the forecast for unfavorable weather conditions following Hurricane Isaias.

The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA STARS National Tour event will now take place on Saturday, with action beginning at 2:15 p.m. as Modified, Sportsman, and Street Stock races begin. Hamke Racecars ASA Pole Qualifying is scheduled for 4 p.m., followed by a pre-race ceremony before the main event takes the green flag at 6:05 p.m.

The Winchester 400 is recognized as a crown-jewel stock car race and holds its place as the ninth event of the ASA STARS season. The 2026 edition will also be historic, as it will be the first time the event is run under Winchester Speedway’s new Mercer County Electric LED lights, making it the event's first night race.

The decision to move the event was made after determining that Saturday provided the best opportunity to complete the race before the arrival of the forecasted weather. General admission adult tickets are set at $30, while single-day Saturday pit passes are available for $50.
