Sunday Funday, the final event of the 2026 season, was a huge success, featuring plenty of thrills and spills for the 10th annual event sponsored by JTB Towing & Recovery and an exciting two-segment format race for the Crown Vic Invitational.
The feature winners of the 59th consecutive season race week included Cody Hodge in the High Country Dispensaries 4/6 Cylinder Enduro series, Danielle Blackmore in the WYKR Women’s Enduro, and Amanda Lussier and Taylor Sayers in the WYKR DUO Enduro. James Corr won the Four Cyl DEMO, Kevin Bacon won the V8 DEMO, and the Crown Vic Invitational saw results from Keegan Tabor, Steve Miller Jr., and Todd Derrington.
Fifteen women tried their hand behind the wheel in the WYKR Women’s Enduro. The ladies offered plenty of excitement for the fans, and when the checkers waved on the twenty-lap event, Danielle Blackmore driving Nate Steady’s car was the winner. Blackmore beat out Jessica Kinne, who was driving her husband Mike Kinne’s car and crossed in second, and Ella Pembroke in the Chris LaForest machine, who came home in third. Diane Roy and Brittany Hess rounded out the top five.
The WYKR Duo Enduro continues to be an ever popular event. This year, twenty-two man/woman duos drove together around the track, with one driver handling the first half and the other handling the second half. At the end of the event, Amanda Lussier and Taylor Sayers (friends) were the winners, followed by Diane and Jason Porter (couple) in second, and Caryl & Trevor Jaques (couple) in third. Erin Barlow with Blaine Tuller crossed in fourth, with Natalie and son Parker Perry completing the top five.
A new event was added to the 2026 Sunday-Funday. Five Crown Vics would try their hand at the famed clay oval. After two fifteen-lap segments, the results were combined for an overall victory lane finish with Bear Ridge regular Keegan Tabor getting the win over Steve Miller Jr. Todd Derrington joined the pair in victory lane with Steve Miller Sr. and Trevor Jaques completing the top five.
The High Country Dispensaries 4/6 Cylinder Enduro series ran their last points event of the season with seventy-seven drivers registered. After some losses in the women’s and duo enduros, seventy-three took the green. At the end of the mayhem, Cody Hodge got the win over Jason Daley and Nate Steady. Shawn King fared better than his brother Travis, finishing in fourth with Dcott Dowland taking home fifth. Jason Porter, the points leader going into the final event, suffered severe mechanical problems when his rear axle fell out of the car, scoring himself in the 26th position and losing the championship by eight points.
Two Demolitions derbies were run. The Four Cyl demo, with fourteen entries, saw James Corr as the survivor, with Douglas Collins Jr. falling just short and scoring in second, and Adrian Mitchell in third. Next was the V8s, where Kevin Bacon was the last one standing, with Jason Mitchell Jr. holding on for second and Brandy Gordon third.
