Patrick Emerling has been crowned the 2026 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion, a title he described as "absolutely incredible." He was recently interviewed at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park to discuss the culmination of his long and challenging racing career.
Emerling shared that his journey to the top was a 16-year odyssey. He began his racing career in sportsman modified classes, racing across various tracks in Western New York.
He highlighted his recent success, noting that joining the Rich Catro owned Fleetworks team in 2024 led to the team becoming the US Power number one team. He credited the team's hard work for their strong runs.
