The 76th Annual Al Gerber Trophy Race of Champions Weekend has been rescheduled by Race of Champions and Shangri-La II Speedway management. Due to adverse conditions, the highly anticipated three-day event has been moved back one week, now taking place on Friday, October 23, Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25, 2026.
The weekend kicks off with open practice on Friday. Championship Saturday will feature the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series in a 50-lap event to crown the 2026 Series champion. This day will also host the FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series and the inaugural Hobby Stock / Street Stock Challenge.
The centerpiece of the weekend is the 76th Annual Al Gerber Trophy Race of Champions 125, which will take place on Sunday, October 25. This prestigious 125-lap championship event, which serves as the 2026 Race of Champions Modified Series finale, offers $10,000 to the winner.
The Race of Champions event, which marks a return to New York, will feature the traditional format, including three over-the-wall crew members and one permitted tire change. Management stated that the decision to move the event was made to ensure all competitors and fans could experience the full three-day tradition.
