The SK Modified® 100 lap Finale at New London-Waterford Speedbowl kicked off on October 4th with a tight battle for the lead. After an early caution, Todd Owen secured second place following contact at the front, while Timmy Jordan maintained a safe lead. Nickolas Hovey capitalized on a later restart, successfully passing Jordan and pulling away from a fierce challenge put up by Keith Rocco and Todd Owen.
Two weeks later, the drivers returned for the Smacktoberfest event, where Nickolas Hovey continued his dominant run. After starting 15th, Hovey surged to third, then to the lead with 30 laps remaining. Meanwhile, Anthony Flannery struggled in the later stages of the race, finding himself in trouble with only 15 laps remaining. Despite the challenges, Hovey ultimately secured the $5,500 payday.
The final results saw Nickolas Hovey finish in first place. Anthony Flannery recovered to an eighth-place finish, which left him with a three-point cushion for his second title race against Todd Owen.
