The New London-Waterford Speedbowl hosted a packed weekend of action, culminating in a dramatic finish for the SK Modified® 100 and the Skaket Legend Cars 50. Nickolas Hovey secured a massive $5,500 payday after a dominant performance in the SK Modified division, which spanned two weeks of racing.
Hovey claimed the victory after a fierce battle, overcoming challenges from competitors like Jordan and Rocco. The race saw Todd Owen finish second, while Andrew Molleur finished third. Anthony Flannery recovered to an eighth-place finish, which gave him a tight three-point cushion in his title hunt against Owen.
The action continued with the Skaket Legend Cars 50, where Brandon Martinez demonstrated strong home-track performance. Martinez started on the pole and quickly took control of the race, ultimately winning the $3,000 prize.
The weekend provided a full slate of competition, with various divisions, including Open Street Stocks and Compact Enduros, all delivering exciting finishes to wrap up the season at the shoreline oval.
