Jon McKennedy secured the 2026 Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series championship during the USNEPower Haunted Hundred XL at Seekonk Speedway this past Saturday. McKennedy entered the season finale with a strong lead, having won the previous two series events and holding a 17-point advantage over second-place Ron Silk. For much of the 125-lap feature, it appeared McKennedy was on track to claim his third series title overall.
The race took a dramatic turn on lap 108 when McKennedy, who was running 10th, became involved in a spin with ninth-place Keith Rocco. McKennedy was forced to head to the pits for repairs under caution. Restarting the event in 18th, McKennedy spent the final 18 laps clawing his way back to finish in 13th place, securing the title.
The finish saw Ron Silk finish in sixth place. McKennedy closed the season with a six-point advantage over Silk, who had two wins in the series. Ronnie Williams finished third in the standings. McKennedy, who had won four of the nine series events in 2026, celebrated the victory, noting the great competition in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series.
