SEAL Leaders Implode After Heart of Dixie 200 Disqualification

The Sealed Engine Alliance Leaders committee experienced a significant upheaval following the Heart of Dixie 200 race at Mobile International Speedway. The turmoil began after Luke Baldwin of Bryson-Lopez Racing was disqualified from the independently sanctioned Pro Late Model event, an incident that sparked intense debate among the participants.

The disqualification, which was issued by contracted chief inspector Ricky Brooks regarding issues with rod bearings and rocker arms, led to a mass exodus from the SEAL committee. Several series and individuals resigned from their positions, effectively dissolving the oversight structure for various divisions.

BLR has indicated that it may pursue legal action, not only over the $50,000 prize money but also concerning defamation claims. The SEAL collective initially reviewed the situation, but the process culminated in a formal notice of withdrawal from multiple CARS tours and associated committee members.

This organizational split left only a few members, including Nicholas Rogers and Tim Bryant, remaining on the committee. The disagreement reportedly centered on philosophical differences regarding the effectiveness of the SEAL program and the desire for a unified, coast-to-coast straight rail racing structure.
