Dylan Bigley secured the UARA Sportsman title after a dramatic weekend at Citrus County Speedway, narrowly edging out fierce rival Tim Sozio. Bigley, who went winless throughout the season, clinched the championship by just four points, capping off a highly competitive year in the Sportsman division.
The championship battle reached its fever pitch during the Twin 50s. While Dodge Carlbert dominated the track, winning both features, the battle between Bigley and Sozio was decided by the sheer chaos of the second race. After a series of cautions, Bigley managed a crucial third-place finish, which proved to be the deciding factor.
The final standings saw Bigley finish with 1064 points, just four points ahead of Sozio's 1060 points. Despite the intense action, Sozio expressed disappointment, noting that he felt he had a strong season, while Bigley credited his success to strong qualifying efforts late in the year.
