PRO STOCK TOUR RETURNS TO SCOTIA SPEEDWORLD FOR NOVA TRUCK CENTRES 150
CARSTAR WEEKLY RACING SERIES FUELED FOR AMP ENERGY NIGHT FRIDAY EVENING

(Halifax, NS – June 20, 2018) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Scotia Speedworld for the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150 this Saturday, June 23rd. The Nova Truck Centres 150 will mark round four of 12 for the elite stock car racing series and the second of only four visits to the oval located just outside of Halifax, NS. Grandstand gates for the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150 open at 3:00pm; Atlantic Tiltload qualifying is slated for 6:00pm.

Cole Butcher currently leads the championship standings by 24 points over Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) who jumps to second following his first win of the season last weekend at Riverside Speedway. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) falls to third after leading the points last week. Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) and Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) continues to hold strong in the fourth and fifth positions respectively and well within striking distance of the top three.

Making their Scotia Speedworld debut is the MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour who will run a 50 lap feature prior to the Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150.

Also joining the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour on Saturday is the Atlantic Provinces Make-A- Wish Foundation and two of their Wish Kids and families. Deven, 18 years old and David seven years both hail from Nova Scotia and are pumped to take part in all of the race day festivities.

Admission for Saturday’s Nova Truck Centres Make-A-Wish 150 is $25.00 for adults; $8.00 for youth; pit admission is $30.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free (Cash Only).

Friday night the CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series will warm up the track with four divisions seeing action. The Affordable Fuels Sportsman return with Kirk Ryan (Upper Nine Mile River) leading a tight pack in the standings. Emily Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines) will have her Brother Adam sliding into the seat of her point leading No. 75 car in Strictly Hydraulics Legend action. Steve Matthews (Bedford) leads the thrilling Toursec Lightning division after three races. Josh Langille (Outlaw, Coldbrook), Owen Mahar (Hubley, Bandit) and Gage Gilby (Enfield, Beginner Bandolero) show the way in the Hydraulics Plus Bandolero divisions after a pair of events.

Admission for Friday’s CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series is $15.00 for adults, youth (8-15) $5.00, pits $18.00. Value priced weekend passes are available for $35.00, weekend pit passes $40.00.
