NASCAR Driver Kyle Larson Discovers
“The Wonder of it All” with NHMS

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver and $1 million All-Star Race winner Kyle Larson made a pit stop at Foxwoods Resort Casino in advance of the July 21 Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

LOUDON, N.H. – With less than a month until he’s racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson made a pit stop at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. on Thursday to do some of his favorite things – racing and golfing – with media members and fans in advance of the July 21 Foxwoods Resort Casino 301.

Larson met with executives from Foxwoods Resort Casino, radio winners and media members at Topgolf Swing Suite, raced go karts against fans and media members as a part of the Karting for Kids event that benefits Speedway Children’s Charities New Hampshire Chapter and hosted a Q&A session with fans.

“I always enjoy coming to the Northeast,” said Larson, driver of the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro for Chip Ganassi Racing. “The fans are very passionate up in this area; they love their racing. It was fun getting to hit some golf balls and play some other games on the simulator, then coming down here to do what I really love doing, which is racing. Today was my first time on this track, and it was a lot faster than I thought it would be.”

Accompanying Larson were David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Marcus Smith, president and corporate executive officer of Speedway Motorsports Inc., and Jason Guyot, senior vice president of resort operations.

“We’re in our 30th season of NASCAR racing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the second year of our partnership with the region’s most popular destination resort,” said McGrath. “With Speedway Motorsports Inc.’s ‘fans first’ philosophy, we’re constantly working to improve the fan experience at ‘The Magic Mile,’ and Foxwoods Resort Casino follows that same path by providing unique and exciting experiences for New Englanders every day.”

Larson, who most recently won the $1 million All-Star Race, is no stranger to the speedway. He’s raced on “The Magic Mile” nine times in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series with an average finish of 10.7, three times in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with two top five finishes and once in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, taking the checkered flag.

Larson and the entire Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race into New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 21 for the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at 3:00 p.m.

The on-track action kicks off on Friday, July 19 with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour All Star Shootout and Cape Cod Café Pizza Pole Day on “The Magic Mile” and the all new Friday Night Dirt Duels presented by New England Racing Fuel on The Flat Track.

The action continues on Tripleheader Saturday, July 20 with the NASCAR Xfinity Series Lakes Region 200, theNASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Eastern Propane & Oil 100 and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East United Site Services 70.
