Four champions crowned at Wild & Wacky Wednesday Banquet
WATERFORD — An overflow crowd saw Peter Bennett, Eddie Loomis, Dave Yardley and Maddie Harkin make New London-Waterford Speedbowl history Wednesday — they officially joined the list of track champions.
Bennett was crowned Legends champ, Loomis became the X-Car champion, Yardley was named the Super X-car champ and Harkin captured the championship in the Bandolero division. They received their championship accolades at the annual Wild & Wacky Wednesday banquet that took place before a large crowd Wednesday at the Speedbowl. (more…)

WATERFORD — Even though he’s just 15-years old, Andrew Molleur has chalked up 10 years of experience in motor sports. He says his thrilling win in Saturday’s Bubby Brouwer Memorial SK Lite 49 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl was his biggest victory yet.
“This is No. 1,” Molleur said after he held off Keith Caruso and John O’Sullivan to claim a win in the Brouwer Memorial, worth more than $1,500. The race was sponsored by Race Choice. “We weren’t sure if we were going to run this race, but now we’re glad we did. To win a race named after someone like Bubby Brouwer, who did so much at the Speedbow, is an amazing accomplishment.” (more…)

Harkin, Bennett, Loomis, Yardley clinch Wild and Wacky Wednesday titles
WATERFORD — Three contenders became champions Wednesday night in the season finale of Wild and Wacky Wednesday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
Maddie Harkin, in the Bandeleros, Dave Yardley, in the Super X-Cars, and Peter Bennett, in the Legends, each did what they needed to do in order to lock down their first Speedbowl titles. (more…)

Hadley enjoys winning detour into Mini Stocks
WATERFORD — Jordan Hadley was looking for a silver lining into what had become a disappointing Sportsman season.
He needed to change divisions, however, in order to find one. And it turned out to be a silver lining worth $200.
Hadley stepped into a Mini-Stock on Aug. 18 at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl for the first time all season, started 10th and was able to barnstorm into the lead. He held on for his ninth Mini Stock victory sand his 17th in his career.
