Due to an uncertain forecast including multiple rain cells throughout the day Saturday, and a lack of availability for a rain-date on Sunday, White Mountain Motorsports Park Officials have postponed the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event originally scheduled for June 20 to Saturday, July 18.
While the planned events for the four track championship divisions are still a go for this Saturday, the unpredictable weather coupled with multiple NASCAR teams and officials planning the trek from Florida and the Carolinas pushed Officials to wait for friendlier skies above.
“This isn’t a decision either ourselves as the track or NASCAR took lightly but one we both feel is best for everyone involved,” said WMMP managing partner Cris Michaud. “We’ve already lost one Saturday and we’re pushing to try and make sure our weekly teams don’t lose another.”
Eddie McCarthy claimed a major victory at the 66th running of the Garden State Classic 125, taking home the top prize in the NASCAR Modified feature event held Saturday night at Wall Stadium in New Jersey. McCarthy drove the No. 20 and secured the win, earning $5,000 plus bonus awards for his performance.
The race featured intense competition among the Modified drivers as McCarthy battled for position against Jimmy Blewett, who finished second. The action was tight throughout the event, with several incidents involving former GSC champs Steven Reed and Derek Hopkinson adding drama to the closing laps.
Beyond the main feature, other classes saw strong performances. In the Natural Design Co. INEX Legend Cars 30-lapper event, Mike Alcaro took the win, while Anthony Marsh also secured a top-five finish. The O’Shea’s Auto Repair Factory Stock division also delivered competitive results, with John Carpenter taking the lead in the 25-lapper contest.
Once Ashton Tucker took the lead Saturday afternoon at Petty International Raceway, he never relinquished it as he cruised to the checkered flag in the second race of the Fort Garry Industries Pro Stock Tour, the Mr. Lube+ Tires 150. Tucker took the lead on Lap 10 and never looked back for his first win of 2026.
The defending FGI Pro Stock Tour champion pulled away from Jarrett Butcher on the final restart on Lap 91 with Butcher holding off Kenny U-Pull 150 winner Gage Gilby for the runner-up spot. Braden Langille and Robbie MacEwen, both making their Tour debut for 2026, also completed the top five.
Jarrett Butcher and Ashton Tucker won their respective Atlantic Tiltload heat races, qualifying them for the Mr. Lube + Tires 150.
